Sunday

Yesterday was nicely frittered away. I got started on the first few slides for my presentation--the ones that require no thought (Thank you, Mr R., for your money, etc.) and reacquainted myself with slides in LaTeX (so super cool, by the way). I then actually dressed up like the female that I am (surprising but true) and went out to the local pick-up bar with VS. We didn't get picked up, but I got to hear about her latest dating trials and I got to dump about all of my anxienties about jobs-future-ambition-etc. We then went to get pizza and got picked up by the pizza guys. And I was tucked into bed by 11:00--I love nights like that!

Today, however, I must buckle down. I have strange desires to try to do the remaining changes to my dissertation before my seminar. If I really want to do that, I need to get the slides out of the way pronto.
